• 8/21/2006 (Mon) - Norbury Lake to Riverside (City) Park, Eureka, 60.97 miles: today's ride takes me back to the good old U.S.A. Canada has treated me very nicely, but the U.S. in home. Toward the latter part of the day, the temperature sored into the 100's...! (journal)
• 8/22/2006 (Tue) - Riverside (City) Park to Columbia Falls RV & Campground, 66.25 miles: I biked mostly through urban areas today. Temperature soared again into the 100's. Despite feeling good physically, I am having a spiritual crisis on what I am trying to get out of this trip. I am heavily leading toward calling it quits soon - perahps as soon as in a couple of days at Missoula... (journal)
• 8/23/2006 (Wed) - Columbia Falls RV & Campground to Cedar Creek Campground, 59.53 miles: despite starting out biking very strongly, my knee crapped out during part of the day in the afternoon today... The terrain has been rolling with me passing through beautiful forests. Cedar Creek is a very remote campground (if you can call it that) - and while the campsite was a little too dark for my taste, I did thoroghly enjoy spending the night by myself away from people in the middle of nowhere... • 8/24/2006 (Thur) - Cedar Creek Campground to Clearwater Crossing Fishing Access, 61.27 miles: this is my last full day of biking, with me biking through rolling terrain encountering some headwind. I eventually ended up staying in a nice, open campsite where family with kids can be seen playing around a couple of nearby fishing holes.... (journal)
• 9/25/2006 (Fri) - Clearwater Crossing Fishing Access to Missoula International Airport, 45.65 miles: this would be my most challenging part of the bike trip, as I was forced to bike through rain and wind for part of the morning when, on top of all that, I also got a flat tire! After staying a few minutes and having ice cream at Adv Cycling Headquarters, I headed to the airport to pick up my rental car to drive back to L.A.... (journal)
