This was supposed to be an uneventful day, but we started the trip by losing our brake lights! Dave even thought about cancelling the trip, but all turned out well in the end though, and we were able to get to the Havasu Canyon Rim just before sunset. We then scouted out a campsite; had dinner under a clear, star-filled sky; re-packed our food; and debriefed. We then listened to Dave tell an Alaskan Outdoors tale - with feeling - before falling asleep under a crisp, starry sky...as coyotes howled in the background!
