Day 2
The highly anticipated hike-in was, as expected, long and grueling (especially with our big heavy packs on). But the scenery got better and better...until the blue pristine waterfalls near camp simply "blew our minds" and made the whole trek worth every step we took!

Top of the Rim - all packed up and ready to go.
One of the few rest stops we took along the way to Havasupai Village. Whose dog is it anyway?
A view of Havasu Falls and its emerald blue pool of water as we approached camp!
Setting up tent and improvising a rainfly at camp. (Thanks to Thang for the picture.)
You can't beat a nice, cool swim after a hard day's hike.
We are all going to spend a lot of quality time relaxing around this bench (Thanks to Thang for this picture).
This was the big 11 mile hike-in day! We all woke up early, eagerly packed, and got ready at the trailhead by 9 am. The hike down was tiring but manageable. We reached Havasupai Village (slightly dehydrated) around 3 pm. The last couple of miles from the village to the campsite was particularly tough: Guclu even got run over by a herd of horses! He was ok though, and we all enjoyed the beautiful waterfalls as we made our way towards camp.
